Just be yourself
If you are like most lawyers then networking is not likely your favorite activity. A good place to start when networking, is to be yourself. Don’t try to be something you are not because you won’t attract the types of contacts you are really looking to connect with. I liken it to dating. If you are not going to show the real you, how is the other person ever going to be attracted to the real you. And if they are attracted to something you are not, eventually, and not too far in the distance, it goes no where.
